It isn't all work for the G-Man, however, as he begins a romance with the company's pretty blonde secretary, Sheila. Dan believes that his girlfriend's father may be behind the robberies. But when Sheila is kidnapped, Dan realizes that the true culprit is still on the loose. \u003cp\u003eLeading man Reed Howes had been a matinee idol during the silent era, usually cast in Westerns and serials. Shortly after completing this film, he would play John Wayne's rival in \u003ci\u003eThe Dawn Rider\u003c\/i\u003e (1935). William Farnum's career also dated back to the silent years. Considered Fox's biggest male box-office draw in the 1910s, he starred in the original Hollywood versions of \u003ci\u003eThe Sign of the Cross\u003c\/i\u003e (1914), \u003ci\u003eA Tale of Two Cities\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eLes Miserables\u003c\/i\u003e (both 1917). Margaret McConnell, a relative of Woodrow Wilson's, landed a part in \u003ci\u003eMillion Dollar Haul\u003c\/i\u003e after being named \u003ci\u003eCollege Humor and Sense\u003c\/i\u003e magazine's \"All-American College Girl of 1933\".
