Montana (Blu-ray)

The latter half of Errol Flynn's career at Warner Bros. was mostly treading water on his reputation as a stud. Montana is a typical western drama programmer, elevated by his sheer presence and some gorgeous Technicolor cinematography, showcased to perfection on this new-to-Blu. Colors pop, contrast is excellent and fine details could scarcely be better. All in all, a real top-flight effort for a just so-so flick. Sure wish Warner would commit to releasing Flynn's B&W spectacular, The Charge of the Light Brigade - an infinitely superior movie still languishing out of the hi-def spotlight.

Pretty good oater ruined by tacked on ending that destroyed all the conflicts between Flyyn and Smith built up through the story by a ludiucrous contrivance to get it over and one with ASAP.

A sound track extra explaining what happened would have greatly helped because something had ot have happened to cause this mish mash

Restoration looked great though and good to see Errol fully admit he was an AUstralian, albeit initially only claiming he lived there for a while. No mention of Tasmania though.
