Letty Lynton is the oddity in Joan Crawford's early MGM films ...unable to be shown due to court initiatives...now released ...and is it a classic? Yes and no ...well worth a purchase as the image has been cleaned up and brought back to its "original" state. A film with enough "class" that is consistent with the "classica" from M-G-M's golden age of quality moviemaking.

Absolute Perfection – The Holy Grail of Pre-Code Cinema! Classic movie fans have waited nearly a century for this, and the Warner Archive team did not disappoint. The 4K restoration looks stunning, making it hard to believe the film is from 1932. Joan Crawford and Robert Montgomery have phenomenal chemistry on screen, and Nils Asther plays the perfect villain. Plus, the inclusion of the Irving Thalberg: Prince of Hollywood documentary as a special feature makes this a spectacular value. A must-own physical media release! Released after 90 years in copyright purgatory, “Letty Lynton” lives up to the hype, and should be a real treat for classic movie fans.
The picture quality in 1080p is remarkably sharp and full of contrast. The sound, recorded in mono, is clear and avoid of pops, hisses, and other audio defects.
The Irving Thalberg documentary “Prince of Hollywood” was nice and a wonderful treat to the “Boy Wonder” production head who made MGM the number one movie studio in Hollywood during the early 1930s. There’s a couple of radio interviews that feature Joan Crawford.
Personally, I would have liked a newly produced documentary vignette that explained the legal problems that kept “Letty Lynton” out of circulation for 90 years and the importance of film preservation. David Stenn would have a great host.

I am so glad to have received Letty Lynton. A beautifully mastered bluray. Warner Archive has done it again with another winner.The movie itself is geat! Joan Crawford and Robert Montgomery were fanatstic. I am so glad this 90 year old classic has been released to on bluray and DVD (for those who don't have bluray players). I also appreciate Movie Zyng for which I received my copy from.

Joan Crawford at her finest in LETTY LYNTON. The special features added to this disc are special and worth noting. Also I’m happy to say Movie Zyng has become one of my favorite retailers for physical media; if not the favorite because of the quick shipping.
