Looney Tunes: Collector's Vault Vol. 3 (Blu-ray)

Once again the team at Warned Archive did a phenomenal job of restoring cartoons that’ve never released on any form of home media on Disc 1, as well as bringing over cartoons that were only available on the Golden Collection DVD’s onto Disc 2, just like the last two Collector’s Vault sets.

It is interesting that this set is where the Warner Archive team took the opportunity to release some of the more outdated shorts like Horse Hare, A Feather in His Hare, Slightly Daffy, etc. it’s an admirable effort, although it’s worth noting they should be seen more as important pieces of history that should be used to spark conversation about the racial prejudices of the time and it should never be repeated

One criticism with this set is the audio hiccups with some of the cartoons included in Disc 1 where it seems something went wrong with the noise reduction. Some examples I can think of are A Feather in his Hare and Sinkin in The Bathtub. The audio is still listenable but the noise reduction can be a minor issue. But I don’t want to put too much fault at the team at Warner Archive, they still put in the effort using the best sources they have.

Overall even with the small audio issues in some shorts, this is still another excellent addition to the Collector’s Vault series of Looney Tunes Blu-Rays. Simply for the fact that you get to own even more newly restored shorts at the palm of your hands. On top of receiving even more shorts that were originally stuck in the Golden Collection…
