More Judy on bluray. Who could ask for more. The movie stars Judy alongside Van Heflin with excellent support from the likes of Spring Byington and Fay Bainter. Based on Booth Tarkington's novel, Judy plays Lily, a small town girl who dreams of becoming a stage actress. Directed by Norman Taurog, this is an MGM musical from the Dream Factory Days and Judy is excellent, as always.

Warner Archive's bluray release delivers a stunning restoration. The visual and audio quality is truly excellent. The movie has never looked better. A fun, totally entertaining movie. Joy from Judy!!!!

Judy Garland entrances as wannabe Broadway star in the making in this underrated MGM musical from 1943. Co-starring with Van Heflin, Judy sings her heart out in numbers like “Broadway Rhythm”, “When I Look at You”, “Tom, Tom the Piper’s Son” and the finale “Where There’s Music” medley. The orchestras of Bob Crosby and Tommy Dorsey provide a swinging accompaniment to Garland’s peppy vocals. Eagle-eyed viewers might spot future director Charles Walter’s as Judy’s dancing partner in the finale. For lovers of film musicals, this film is a must!
