Directed by Roger Vadim and written & produced by Gene Roddenberry, this 1971 murder mystery/comedy set in a California high school stars Rock Hudson as a married football coach and faculty advisor who beds his female students and eventually resorts to murder to keep them quiet. Meanwhile, student Ponce de Leon Harper (John David Carson), who is suffering academically due to sexual frustration, lusts after his sexy new substitute teacher (Angie Dickinson), who soon takes care of his problem.

    Dated early 70s teacher student romp

    This movie was made 55 years ago, and it reflects the edginess of the Nee Hollywood, with tails of sexual exploits between a guidance counselor at a high school and his students. It’s inconceivable to think of such a plot in a movie today, but it’s still fun in its own way.

    The Warner Archive restoration pulls out as much detail as as possible. The film stock of the early 70s faded quickly, so it’s not as crisp looking as films from the 1950s or early 1960s.

    PRETTY MAIDS ALL IN A ROW

    I saw this when it was first released. Very happy to watch this unwoke racy comedy again !!! It's a lot of fun to see a fun film that is probably now considered shocking.

    Excellent film

    This excellent film is fantastic to see in this blu-ray restoration! It looks rather awesome and is quite a unique take on the subject matter when compared to today's mores and norms. Rock Hudson is at his charming best here.
