Dwain Esper, king of the 1930s "sex scare" genre, directed this exploitation classic about diseased showgirls and other human wreckage. Esper certainly knew how to rally the rabble, with a print campaign that offered such nuggets as: "Beware of couples who dare to engage in premarital sex! Beware of burlesque! Save your daughters! The subject of syphilis must no longer remain hushed, but must be fought in the open like any other dangerous contagious disease ... humanity must be enlightened!" It's all guaranteed to drive you straight into wild eyed sex madness!
