The Affairs of Anatol – Blu-ray

The Affairs on Anatol is a 1921 Cecil B DeMille production staring Gloria Swanson and Wallace Reid. The film is representative of the time it was made with DeMille’s touches throughout ( elaborate bedroom sets and in one case a leopard at the bed of a character called Satin Synge). The music score by Rodney Sauer and the Mont Alto orchestra provide provide an authentic score which fits the mood of the film and is representative of the time. He does great work.

A stunning restoration and presentation of a wonderful film. The picture is incredible - the cinematography, the clarity, the grain, the coloring, all of it. And as a musician who has become greatly appreciative of silent film music that's well composed and well played, I have nothing but praise for the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.

This release represents highest achievement and perfection in all respects.
