The Long, Long Trailer (1954)

Nostalgic fun with Desi and Lucy!

My favorite scenes are when they are at trailer show looking at the different trailers until Lucy sees ‘it’. Very ‘50s and reminded me of those ‘tomorrow’ cartoons by Tex Avery. The other being when Lucy starts her rock collection which leads to a very interesting and amusing trailer ride. Also when Lucy tries to prepare the meal while traveling along. Both scenes bringing to mind the animated cartoon ‘Mickey’s Trailer’. Lots of ‘50s details to take in and enjoy from white wall tires, classic cars, and manages to capture that post war ‘50s optimism.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing this for the first time in the 1:75:1 ratio. This blu ray offers the best presentation of the movie I’ve seen.

Good, lighthearted, ‘50s fun!
