7 Faces of Dr. Lao

In some ways a collection of fairy tales, so lots of opportunities for clever, imaginative and colorful design and, typical of George Pal, wonderfully whimsical. Like I said, gorgeous, just like we've come to expect from Warner Archive restorations from prime, original film elements. Of all the characters Tony Randall plays, my favorite performance is of the multi-faceted Dr. Lao himself - by turns erudite, scholarly, clownish, sly, all suited to the demands of the particular circumstance.

I have been a fan of this movie since childhood. I have owned the DVD release which has been quite good. However, this latest bluray release is truly remarkable. The colour cinematography looks truly amazing and the audio quality is outstanding. It is almost like watching the movie for the first time. I cannot praise this release enough. Warner Archive has delivered another fabulous release. It is one that is a must for all movie buffs. A truly delightful movie from director George Pal. A truly delightful cult movie that has finally received the amazing Warner Archive treatment.
