American Cherry

Set in small town, low-income suburbia, "American Cherry" is a dark teen love story. A teenage boy with a fascination for suicide is struggling with grief and loneliness when he meets an impressionable girl in their small-town. They embark on a romance where his love turns to obsession as he tries to protect her, from her dysfunctional family. He makes her a video diary that confesses an intricate story of unhealthy love, mental illness, and the tragic consequences if left untreated.
