City of Missing Girls (The Film Detective Restored Version)

The talent school racket comes under scrutiny in this mystery from director Elmer Clifton (Assassin of Youth, Seven Doors to Death). It seems that a group of young women are disappearing one by one; one of them even turns up dead. The plot gets sticky when a reporter learns the women are all linked to a fine arts school owned by a shady nightclub operator. The cast includes H.B. Warner, Astrid Allwyn, and George Rosener (who co-wrote the screenplay).
