    Great series, great blu ray!

    I love this series. I had all the episodes on individual DVD sets, but I upgraded to this complete blu ray set. So glad I did. The blu rays make this series look brand new. An incredible upgrade from the DVDs! Emergency was a landmark show, created and produced by Jack Webb’s (Dragnet) company. The acting is good, not stiff like Webb’s Dragnet documentary style, but the rescues and the way the paramedics work is ultra realistic. Likable characters, firefighters and ER doctors and nurses, keep the show moving. Nothing soapy, nothing melodramatic, just fast paced binge-worthy entertainment.

    Very good example of a Blu-ray release of an older series

    Based on what I have watched of Emergency! so far, the transfer I'm impressed by. The colour red can cause problems for DVD and Blu-ray, but on the whole it wasn't too bad with the feature-length pilot (explaining this in layman's terms rather than being complicated). One of the US television series from the seventies that I had been wanting to see for some time. It does make me think of more recent series Chicago Fire, but without the obsession with soap opera antics.

    Like the packaging design of Universal's Blu-ray boxset (cases, how the discs are held in place etc.).
