Female Fugitive was directed by the reliable and prolific William Nigh, who is now best remembered for his work at Monogram. His films includes The Mr. Wong series starring Boris Karloff and Black Dragons with Bela Lugosi. Reed Hadley, who went on to play the masked hero in the Republic cliffhanger Zorro's Fighting Legion, later became the tough-talking star of two early '50s TV series: "Racket Squad" and "District Attorney."
Evelyn Venable appeared in several Hollywood classics, including Death Takes a Holiday (1934) and Alice Adams (1935), before serving in the ranks of poverty row in the late '30s. One of her last roles was the voice of "The Blue Fairy" in Disney's animated milestone Pinocchio. Evelyn was married to Academy Award winning cinematographer Hal Mohr, whom she met on the set of her second film, David Harum (1934) with Will Rogers.
