Free at Last: Civil Rights Heroes (DVD)

The civil rights movement in the United States is usually understood in terms of its leadership, such as Martin Luther King, Jr., or its dramatic events like the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. But often the catalysts for progress were people who fought from within a larger group or performed individual, seemingly small acts or heroism - some even victims who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now see these stories of those whose fates stirred the nation and forged an amazing new path. The incredible stories of Emmett Till, Medgar Evers, The Birmingham Four, Viola Liuzzo, Jimmy Lee Jackson, Rev. James Reeb and more!
