Happy Landing

Lieutenant Nick Terris of the Border Patrol is disgraced when he is suspected of allowing bank robbers to escape. He resigns his commission after being found guilty of negligence. Nick takes to the sea with his father, who is the captain of a merchant steamer. The ship falls victim to a daring aerial robbery in which a sea plane threatens to bomb the vessel, if it fails to surrender its strongbox. Nick risks his life in a desperate attempt to vindicate his name and bring the thieves to justice.

Ray Walker first appeared on the screen as the star of Skyway (1933), one year prior to Happy Landing. He would go on to star in a series of B-Pictures such as The Mouthpiece (1935) and Bulldog Edition (1936). By the late 1930's he was relegated to supporting and uncredited roles but worked steadily in film and television for three more decades, most notably as a shopkeeper in Frank Capra's 1946 masterpiece, It's a Wonderful Life. The fine supporting cast of Happy Landing includes Jacqueline Wells, William Farnum and Noah Beery.
