Meet the solitary Mountain Men who wandered the Wild West ranges in the 1800s and lived a crude existence, relying on simple tools for hunting and survival. Some of the colorful characters introduced include buffalo hunter Billy Dixon, whose Sharps Big 50Gun helped him survive a Comanche attack; James Black, the famous cutler who crafted the Bowie knife; and Luther Sage Kelly, a trapper-hunter who recreated his Indian shootouts for early cameraman Stanley Morrow.
