Hoot Gibson Double Feature: Feud of the West (1936) / Rainbow's End (1935)

Feud of the West (1936, B&W): Whitey Revel, a good-humored cowpoke, arrives in Dry Grass City and wins the rodeo as well as the trust of Greg Walters, a local rancher. Walters suspects that the recent murders of his son and nephew were the work of Hawk Decker, the leader of a notorious gang of rustlers, and he hires Whitey to infiltrate Decker's gang and investigate. Rainbow's End (1935, B&W): Rodeo star Neil Gibson meets pretty Ann Ware and takes a job as a cowhand on her father's ranch. The Wares are having financial problems and may lose their spread. Neil is also driven by his dislike for his own dad, who owns the mortgage company that's threatening to foreclose. Neil struggles to prevent the family feud from boiling over into bloodshed.
