    Screwball Olivia De Havilland, Bette Davis, Leslie Howard comedy.

    Reminding me of the classic “Man who Came to Dinner”, this screwball comedy from 1937 pokes fun at middle-class morals and behaviour. Highlights for me were the onstage antics of Davis and Howard playing Shakespearean thespians in the style of Lunt and Fontanne. Who knew that Bette and Leslie could do high comedy (and high camp!).

    This is another warner archive upgraded Blu Ray oddity... a long forgotten older Bette David movie that is long forgotten as a "B" movie that had great reviews in its day...beautiful to look at in another Warner restoration "renewing" an old movie.

    Margo's Comedic Alter Ego.

    One of those golden age comedies that is still truly funny and especially since the stars aren't primarily considered comedians. Had wanted this Bette Davis movie in its best presentation for ages. This disc is it!
