Killing Ed

Killing Ed (Epilogue Cut) investigates the rapid growth of the USA's largest charter school operator - an Islamic group originally from Turkey but now based in Pennsylvania known as the "Gulen Movement." Using first-hand interviews by teachers, experts, parents as well as former followers of cleric Fethullah Gulen, Killing Ed exposes how a variety of apparently fradulently practices benefit the non-educational aims of the Movement and raises questions about the quality of education of the 70,000+ students are receiving at these charter schools. Includes a new epilogue with footage from the violent July, 2016 coup attempt in Turkey led by the elements of the Gulen Movement.
