Larceny On The Air was directed by Irving Pichel, a Harvard graduate who worked a dual Hollywood career path starting in the 1930s. He was a gifted character actor, appearing in a wide variety of films - Madame Butterfly (1932), Oliver Twist (1933), Cleopatra (1934), Dracula's Daughter (1936), Jezebel (1938) and Dick Tracy's G-Men (1939) are just a few. He was also the director of three dozen films, including The Most Dangerous Game (1932), She (1935), The Pied Piper (1942), The Miracle of the Bells (1948) and the award-winning sci-fi classic, Destination Moon (1950). The star of Larceny On The Air, Robert Livingston, enjoyed wide fame in westerns, most notably as Zorro in The Bold Caballero (1936) and as Stoney Brook in over two dozen Three Mesquiteers movies.
