Out of the Fog

As we sat and watched this gorgeous BluRay we marveled that this film is 85 years old and loos like new. The transfer is phenomenal with deep blacks, very well controlled grain and stunning clarity. This restoration of a minor noir is a gem.

It's fun, it's dark and it's foggy. I love the stage of the film, the characters that inhabit it and the simple story around the film.

A gritty and atmospheric gangster drama with compelling characters and strong performances throughout. Two Noir stalwarts lead the charge!

Love me some Lupino and Garfield. I’m here for the 40’s!!!

I originally saw this film on the Criterion Channel. Ida Lipino and John Garfield two of the most intense actors I’ve ever watched. As Warner Bros. stated “we tell good stories”.
