The Doctor Mabuse Trilogy (Blu-ray)

Doctor Mabuse, the original super villain, emerges from the shadows once more in these three hallucinatory cult films from filmmaker Ansel Faraj (Loon Lake), blending film noir, science fiction, comic book fantasy, and German Expressionism into a world unlike any you've ever seen. In "Doctor Mabuse", [2013] the criminal mastermind (Jerry Lacy, Dark Shadows) returns from exile to begin a new reign of terror, but it seems young Inspector Carl Lohemann (Nathan Wilson, Will & Liz) stands in his way. The mystic forces assemble in the sprawling follow-up "Etiopomar" [2014] to bring about the downfall of Mabuse and the ruined city under his power. And in the award-winning "The Thousand and One Lives of Doctor Mabuse" [2020], a haunted Lohemann returns to settle the score once and for all with his arch-nemesis. Co-starring Kathryn Leigh-Scott, Lara Parker, Christopher Pennock, and Linden Chiles.
