The Fighting Marines

The government's plan to establish an airfield on a remote Pacific island are thwarted by a mysterious masked saboteur, the Tiger Shark, who is developing his own plans for conquest of the world. When the Tiger Shark steals the Gyro-compass, a top secret invention, Corporal Larry Lawrence and his men are given unlimited power by the government to retrieve the device and put the Tiger Shark out of commission once and for all.

The Fighting Marines is a thrill-a-minute feature version of the 1936 twelve chapter serial produced by Mascot Studios. A Military Academy graduate and pal of John Wayne, Grant Withers made his mark in film as a star in dozens of B pictures as well as many television appearances from 1956 until his untimely death in 1959.
