Geraldine Fitzgerald would be nominated for an Oscar two years later for her performance in Wuthering Heights (1939), followed by other noteworthy roles in Dark Victory (1939) and Watch On The Rhine (1943). Late in her career she would gain renown for outstanding supporting performances in The Pawnbroker (1964), Rachel, Rachel (1968) and the hit comedy Arthur (1981).
