Often cited as the inspiration for the Spencer Tracy-Katherine Hepburn vehicle Adam's Rib, Two Heads on a Pillow was produced by short-lived Poverty Row studio Liberty Pictures. During their eight years of operation they released Hopalong Cassidy westerns such as Cheaters (1934) and screwball comedies like Dizzy Dames (1935). Two Heads on a Pillow also boasts a story from Dorothy Canfield Fisher, a social reformer and activist who at the time was named as one of the ten most influential women in the United States by Eleanor Roosevelt. Handsome lead actor Neil Hamilton had a long career in Hollywood, rising to fame after his role in The White Rose (1923). He will always be best remembered as Commissioner Gordon on the hit TV series Batman.
