Wall Street Cowboy (DVD)

Tough times have left Roy Rogers behind on the mortgage and he is in danger of losing his Circle R Ranch. Greedy banker Niles wants to call the loan, leaving Roy six weeks to raise $26,000. Just when all seems lost, his partner, Gabby, finds some rock samples that seem rich in gold. Roy and Gabby head to New York City hoping that tycoon Roger Hammond will finance a mine that will not only save the ranch, but make them all rich. Roy does not know that a crooked Wall Street syndicate has also discovered mineral deposits on the Circle R and is determined to steal the land - even if it means hiring a gunman to get Roy "out of the way."

Roy and Gabby Hayes are joined by Raymond Hatton in this well-produced Republic western. Director Joseph Kane was Republic's top western director with over 125 films to his credit including many Roy Rogers and Gene Autry features.
