Wind in the Willows, The

Since it first appeared in 1908, Kenneth Grahame's enchanting story The Wind in the Willows has been a childhood classic. Was there ever a creature as flamboyant as Mr. Toad (Reilly) of Toad Hill? Dressed in flashy outfits no sensible animal would wear, he's rich - but so foolish and boastful that his friends Ratty (McDowall), Badger (Ferrer) and Moley (Bracken) are frantic, and they vow to make him repent for his follies. Misadventures involving a steamboat, a gypsy caravan wagon and a Rolls Royce don't seem to wise him up... until he lands in jail and is forced to learn lessons of humility, friendship and common sense.
